Inventors include Swati Chaudhary; Abhijeet Panigrahy; and Prince Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: A system and method provide nutritional deficiency screening using ocular biomarkers in a biometric attendance device. The device acquires ocular data from a user during interaction with the biometric attendance system. A biometric attendance processing function performs an attendance-related biometric operation, while NutriEye software processes the acquired ocular data through an ocular biomarker screening module. One or more ocular biomarkers represented in the ocular data are evaluated to generate a nutritional deficiency screening result. The disclosed arrangement integrates biometric attendance functionality and ocular nutritional screening within a common device rather than requiring separate attendance and screening systems. The system is applicable to institutions and organizations employing biometric attendance devices and requiring routine, non-invasive nutritional deficiency screening.
