Abstract: ABSTRACT System and Method for Non-Invasive Blood-Pressure Trend Monitoring The present disclosure provides a system and method for non-invasive blood-pressure trend monitoring, which relies on multi-modal physiological signal acquisition, signal quality assessment, physiological artefact detection, personalised haemodynamic baseline generation, adaptive sensor fusion, confidence- guided blood-pressure estimation, temporal trend reconstruction and calibration drift detection. The system adaptively weights the physiological signals according to their reliability and reconstructs the confidence-weighted blood-pressure trends over multiple temporal windows. If the confidence of the estimation decreases, or the calibration drift exceeds a predetermined condition, the system selectively initiates a reference blood-pressure measurement. This results in a calibration error that is used to update the personalised calibration parameters. The system thus distinguishes between persistent blood-pressure variations and transient or artifact-induced blood-pressure variations, reduces the dependence on unnecessary cuff-based measurements, compensates for changing physiological and sensing conditions, and provides continuous, individualised, and technically reliable non-invasive blood-pressure trend monitoring.
