Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to network security monitoring systems. The system (100) includes a unified printed circuit board (102) having a plurality of cartridge receptacles (106), each accepting a sensor cartridge (108). Each cartridge receptacle (108) incorporates a pre-load contact pin that engages the sensor cartridge (108) prior to primary electrical contact, enabling safe hot-swap insertion detection by the microcontroller (104). A power management circuit (112) supplies regulated voltage independently to each cartridge receptacle (108). Upon detecting sensor cartridge (108) insertion, the microcontroller (104) enables power, queries an identification memory (116) to obtain identification data, and loads corresponding driver firmware (206). The loaded driver firmware (206) compares received packet data against a plurality of threat signature patterns, generating a threat alert signal (212) transmitted to an external monitoring station (114) for network threat investigation and response.
