MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621053528 A) filed by Sage University on April 27, 2026, for System And Method For Monitoring Fermentation Parameters In An Industrial Bioreactor Vessel.

Inventors include Dr. Prashant Jain; Ms. Sakshi Agrawal; Dr. Raghvendra Dubey; and Dr. Ruchi Khare Shrivastava.

The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT A system (100) for monitoring fermentation parameters in an industrial bioreactor vessel comprises a housing (106) having an aerogel thermal barrier (108) configured to maintain a thermal gradient between a sensor zone (102) and an electronics compartment (118), and a microcontroller (112) thermally isolated from the sensor zone (102) by the aerogel thermal barrier (108). The microcontroller (112) receives analog voltage signals from a plurality of autoclavable sensors (104) comprising a temperature sensor (204), converts the analog voltage signals to digital values using an analog-to-digital converter (114), monitors temperature readings during a steam sterilization cycle to calculate a temperature-time integral representing cumulative thermal exposure, applies calibration correction coefficients selected based on the calculated temperature-time integral to compensate for sensor drift, and transmits corrected sensor measurement data (116) wirelessly through a stainless steel wall via a Low-Range (LoRa) transceiver (110), thereby achieving periodic fermentation monitoring without breaching sterile barriers.
