Abstract: ABSTRACT System and Method for Modular Photovoltaic Energy Generation and Thermal Optimization The present invention relates to systems and methods for modular photovoltaic energy production and thermal optimization. The system includes a number of modular photovoltaics which are equipped with sensors for monitoring module-level thermal, electrical, environmental, and operational parameters. The edge data acquisition device provides synchronized data on module state, and the digital twin engine keeps updating the thermal-electrical digital twin of the module for hotspot location prediction, temperature distribution, thermal stress conditions, photovoltaic degradation, and output deviation from the nominal electrical performance. Adaptive thermal intelligence engine drives self-reconfigurable hybrid thermal management backsheet with thermally conductive heat spreading layers, microfluidic cooling channels, phase change material zones, and flow control devices. The backsheet delivers cooling fluid selectively to the predicted hot spots and thermally connects the phase change material zones before the module efficiency drops below a predetermined value. The predictive maintenance engine calculates component-level probabilities of failure, and the intelligent energy orchestration engine controls the set points of power converters, charging/discharging of batteries, loads, and grid interaction.
