MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621093234 A) filed by Novaqua Technologies Pvt. Ltd. on July 31, 2026, for System And Method For Modular And Reconfigurable Atmospheric Water Generation.

Inventors include Jalan, Akshat; and Jalan, Roli.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: A modular atmospheric water generation system for extracting water from ambient air comprises liquid absorbent based absorber modules (501) configured to receive humid air and produce a rich absorbent stream and partially dehumidified air , desorber modules for regenerating absorbent and recovering moisture as water vapour, solid adsorbent based adsorber-desorber modules for additional moisture recovery, utility modules for supplying heating media and cooling media, and condensers for condensing water vapour into liquid water. A dynamically configurable routing network interconnects the modules and enables adaptive routing based on module readiness and operating conditions. The system enables staged moisture recovery wherein humid air is routed through absorber modules for primary recovery and subsequently through adsorber-desorber modules for secondary recovery, with individual modules selectively activated, deactivated, isolated, or bypassed without interrupting overall system operation.
