Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS IN A COLD STORAGE UNIT A system (102) for managing environmental conditions in a cold storage unit (100) includes at least one sensing unit (202) configured to detect at least one environmental parameter associated with the cold storage unit (100) and generate sensor data corresponding to the at least one environmental parameter. The at least one environmental parameter is indicative of the environmental conditions and comprises at least one of a temperature, humidity, light, and gas concentration. A controller (204) in communication with the at least one sensing unit (202) is configured to determine a value associated with the at least one environmental parameter based on the sensor data, compare the determined value with a predefined range, and generate a controlling signal when the determined value falls outside the predefined range. At least one relay node (226) is configured to receive the controlling signal for managing the environmental conditions in the cold storage unit.
