Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system (108) and a method (500) for managing a subscriber profile update in a network (106). External resources (110) coupled with the system (108) notify a gateway (302) (e.g., PWG) of any changes made to the subscriber profile pertaining to at least one user equipment (UE) policy. Upon receipt of this notification, the gateway (302) subsequently communicates these changes to a first network function (NF) (304) (e.g., PCF) via a database stream. Once the first NF (304) receives the notification of the updated subscriber profile, the first NF (304) may retrieve and compare relevant data stored in a predetermined custom field associated with the UE (104) to ensure whether any modifications have occurred within the subscriber profile. Based on the comparison, the first NF (304) initiates the N1N2 message transfer request towards a second NF (306) (e.g., AMF). (fig 3)
