Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LOW-COMPLEXITY GAME-THEORETIC RESOURCE ALLOCATION IN MULTI-TENANT CLOUD ENVIRONMENT The present invention discloses a system (100) and method for resource allocation in multi-tenant cloud environments using a game-theoretic approach. The system comprises a cloud infrastructure layer (110) with datacenters (112) and hosts (114), a virtualization layer (120) instantiating virtual machines (122), a tenant management module (130) characterizing tenants (132) with priority and service level attributes, a task generation module (140) producing cloudlets (142), and a game-theoretic resource allocator (150) modeling tenants as rational players in a non-cooperative game. The allocator computes composite utility scores integrating priority, fairness history, waiting time penalty, and resource demand cost. A fairness tracking sub- module (154) employs Jain Fairness Index to prevent resource starvation. A scheduling engine (160) assigns tasks to optimal virtual machines with O (n log n) complexity. Evaluation demonstrates superior performance in latency reduction, throughput maximization, fairness, and CPU utilization compared to FCFS, Round Robin, and Priority Scheduling algorithms. [
