MUMBAI, India, July 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641087907 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on July 17, 2026, for System And Method For Joint Classification Of Saree Blouse Styles With Brassiere Recommendation.
Inventors include Kathiravan Srinivasan; and Chandni Satishchandra Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR JOINT CLASSIFICATION OF SAREE BLOUSE STYLES WITH BRASSIERE RECOMMENDATION A computer- implemented method (200) for personalized brassiere recommendation comprises receiving a saree blouse image (104) and user anthropometric measurements (106), preprocessing the saree blouse image (104) to generate a preprocessed image (302), and extracting, by a shared backbone (304) of a dual-branch convolutional neural network (300), a feature representation. The method comprises classifying, by a front neckline head (306), a front neckline style to produce a front neckline style label (308), classifying, by a back design head (310), a back design style to produce a back design style label (312), and generating an anthropometric feature vector. The method comprises computing compatibility scores comprising a Front Neckline Compatibility Score, Back Design Compatibility Score, Structural Support Score, Comfort Optimization Index, and Visibility Risk Score, computing a Personalized Brassiere Recommendation Score as a weighted combination thereof, and ranking candidate brassieres based on the Personalized Brassiere Recommendation Score.
