MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641110436 A) filed by Srm University-Ap on September 15, 2026, for System And Method For Intra-Body Nano-Communication Using Time-Varying Arterial Characteristics.

Inventors include Swathi Kiran Kumar Rampilla; and Dr. Manjula R.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system (100) for dynamic terahertz (THz) communication channel modeling for intra-body nano-communication. The system continuously estimates communication parameters including propagation distance, spreading loss, molecular absorption loss, Doppler shift, received signal characteristics, and total channel path loss under changing physiological conditions. Further, the system (100) dynamically updates channel characteristics in response to physiological variations to provide a realistic representation of intra-body terahertz communication. The dynamically estimated channel parameters may be utilized for communication performance evaluation, network design, simulation, transmission optimization, receiver sensitivity estimation, relay placement, and configuration of communication between implanted nanosensors and wearable gateway devices. The system (100) further helps in improving prediction accuracy, communication reliability, and physiological realism for next-generation intra-body nano-communication system. Figure of Abstract -
