Inventors include Anita Christaline J; N. Prem Sankar.; Aryaman Kumar; Yatharth Kherodia; and Varenya Tripathi.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: A system 100 to read eye-blink of a patient 102 using brain computer interface 200 includes an EEG signal acquisition unit 106 including a pair of electrodes 104- A/104-B mounted over forehead and a third electrode 104-C behind ear to sense low-level biological signals from the patient 102; and a microcontroller 112 including a plurality of modules, at least one database, one or more processors coupled with a memory. The memory stores one or more instructions executable by the one or more processors to acquire EEG signals from the patient 102 through head mounted electrodes 104; amplify acquired raw signals to remove noise by filtering the amplified signal; extract blink component features from the filtered signals; detect blinking of eyes employing a blink detection model based on signal amplitude and slope of the curve; and generate control command output 116 based on blink-to-command mapping.
