Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and method for intelligent wearable worker safety monitoring, predictive hazard detection, and autonomous emergency response for improving occupational safety in hazardous industrial environments. The invention comprises an intelligent wearable safety device integrated with multimodal environmental sensing modules, physiological monitoring sensors, motion detection sensors, an Edge Artificial Intelligence processing unit, a localization module, a wireless communication module, and an Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled monitoring platform. The Edge Artificial Intelligence processing unit continuously acquires, fuses, and analyzes sensor data to monitor worker health, environmental conditions, movement, and workplace activities, identify abnormal operating conditions, predict potential hazards, determine risk levels, and autonomously generate emergency alerts. Upon detection of critical events, the system transmits worker identity, health status, environmental information, and real-time location to authorized personnel for rapid emergency response and coordinated rescue operations. The integrated architecture further enables continuous remote monitoring, predictive safety analysis, intelligent decision-making, and workforce supervision through an IoT- enabled platform. By combining multimodal sensing, Edge Artificial Intelligence, wireless communication, predictive hazard detection, and autonomous emergency response into a unified wearable safety system, the invention provides a scalable, energy-efficient, and cost-effective solution for enhancing worker protection, reducing workplace accidents, improving emergency response efficiency, and supporting intelligent industrial safety management across construction, mining, manufacturing, oil and gas, and other high-risk workplaces.
