MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641101409 A) filed by Akanksha Aravinda Gowda on August 21, 2026, for System And Method For Intelligent Snakebite Emergency Response, Species Identification And Healthcare Facility Routing.
Inventor includes Akanksha Aravinda Gowda.
The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a computer-implemented snakebite emergency-response system and method. A persistent emergency activation interface enables a user, through a single interaction, to enter a dedicated emergency mode in which an elapsed-time counter is automatically initiated and locally stored contraindication information and an ordered first-aid protocol are presented. A healthcare- facility selection subsystem ranks healthcare-facility records according to proximity while independently displaying an antivenom- availability indicator associated with respective facilities. Device-native telephony and navigation services are selectively invoked through deep links. A visual species-identification subsystem transmits a user-captured or selected snake image to a remote machine- learning inference endpoint under a constrained output instruction to obtain a candidate species identifier. The candidate identifier is reconcilable with a locally stored curated species taxonomy such that safety-relevant venom classification may originate from the curated taxonomy rather than unrestricted machine-generated output. Core emergency-response information is resident within the client application and remains accessible independently of network availability, thereby isolating network-dependent visual identification from essential emergency-response functionality.
