The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: A system (108) and a method for providing intelligent reflecting surface-based communication is disclosed. The system includes an intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) array (110) having a plurality of array elements (112). The plurality of array elements comprises a substrate (404), a reflecting patch (402) and one or more parasitic patches (406). The one or more parasitic patches (406) are coupled with the reflecting patch and are configured to adjust the phase of the received one or more signals. The at least one ground (GND) slot is fabricated in a ground layer (504) on the bottom side of the substrate (404), configured to enable isolation between one or more polarizations and a control unit (106) configured to generate one or more control signals for managing one or more operations of the IRS array (110).
