Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for medical image processing receive medical image data and assess its integrity and quality. Based on image characteristics, metadata or a selected task, the system selects and applies pre-processing operations including, where appropriate, normalization, denoising, contrast adjustment, orientation correction or registration. A feature analysis engine performs a task such as segmentation, detection, classification, measurement or image comparison. An output validation module checks output structure, alignment and configured quality or confidence criteria, and may flag results requiring reprocessing or review. A visualization interface presents the source image and generated outputs with relevant quality indicators for review by a qualified healthcare professional. A traceability store records processing parameters, software or model versions and validation status. The system may operate locally, remotely or in a distributed environment and is intended to support reproducible image analysis and clinical review. Accompanied Drawing [FIGS. 1-2].
