Abstract: ABSTRACT System and Method for Intelligent Cloud-Resource Allocation Using Workload Prediction The present invention provides a system and method for intelligent cloud-resource allocation with workload prediction. The system ingests workload-state and resource-state telemetry from distributed physical and virtual cloud resources and generates multidimensional workload signatures and multi-horizon predicted workload states. A resource-topology graph models heterogeneous computing, memory, accelerator, network and storage resources and technical interdependencies. Candidate resource topologies for a predicted workload state are generated and evaluated using non-production shadow allocations based on execution latency, resource fragmentation, locality, communication characteristics, provisioning delay and migration overhead. A predictive pre-warming controller reserves or initialises resources based on the prediction confidence. The prediction- allocation divergence is estimated by comparing the observed actual workload-resource behaviour with the predicted state after resource allocation. The identified divergence is used to tune the following workload-to-resource-topology mappings and inhibit superfluous resource reconfiguration. This leads to enhancements in resource usage, provisioning latency, workload execution quality and stability of resource allocation.
