MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541028375 A) filed by Raj Kumar Kurra on April 26, 2025, for System And Method For In-Situ Wastewater Treatment Using Fixed Film Media And Floating Wetlands.
Inventor includes Raj Kumar Kurra.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a system and method for in-situ wastewater treatment using fixed film media and floating wetlands. The system may include a wastewater stream, a screen, a grit chamber, a fixed film media, an aeration unit, a bacteria and chemical dosing unit, an AI-based monitoring and control unit, a settling tank, a floating wetland, an ozone and nano bubble infusion unit, and a treated water outflow. The system removes large debris, suspended solids, and organic pollutants through mechanical, biological, and chemical processes. The fixed film media supports microbial biofilm growth for pollutant degradation, while the aeration unit and dosing unit enhance treatment efficiency. The AI-based unit monitors water quality and optimizes treatment parameters in real-time. The settling tank separates sludge, and floating wetlands provide final polishing. The system offers a modular and scalable solution for efficient in-situ wastewater treatment with minimal infrastructure. FIG.2
