Abstract: SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING SINGLE-PEDAL DRIVING IN VEHICLES The present invention relates to a single-pedal driving system (300) for a vehicle. The single-pedal driving system (300) comprises: a pedal assembly (301), a control unit (304) and a feedback mechanism (404,502). The pedal assembly (301) comprises a single-pedal interface (402,705) and a sensor system (306), and is configured to operate based on input received from a driver. The single-pedal interface (402,705) is configured to control acceleration, deceleration and coasting of the vehicle. The sensor system (306) is configured to detect the position of the single-pedal interface (402,705) by the driver. The control unit (304) is configured to interpret the input from the pedal assembly (301). Thereupon it adjusts the vehicle's speed based on the detected position of the single-pedal interface (402,705). The feedback mechanism (404,502) provides feedback to the driver based on the position of the pedal assembly (301). The invention also discloses a method of single-pedal driving in a vehicle.
