Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HYBRID SENSING SMART GLOVE FOR PHYSIOTHERAPY MONITORING AND MOTION ANALYSIS A computer-implemented wearable system for real-time physical therapy monitoring, tremor detection, and motion analysis is disclosed. The system comprises a hybrid sensing smart glove incorporating a sensor array module (202) with arc-shaped, self-powered triboelectric nanogenerator sensors (202a-e) mapped to digital joints for flexion detection, and optical fiber sensors (202f) routed along the wrist and forearm for macro-motion tracking. A signal conditioning module (204) utilizes high- impedance buffers and RC low-pass filters to isolate intentional movements below 2 Hz from 4 to 12 Hz pathological tremors. An embedded microcontroller (206) executes on-device machine learning inference to classify exercise types and evaluate form correctness locally, eliminating cloud latency. The system generates objective clinical metrics including range of motion and tremor severity, providing immediate posture correction via localized hardware feedback (210b) and transmitting aggregated reports to a mobile dashboard (106) via Bluetooth Low Energy.
