The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for predictive rural commerce forecasting is disclosed, comprising a data acquisition module for capturing offline-cached primary field data and API-sourced secondary data; a preprocessing module deriving seasonal, trend, and volatility features; a village clustering module computing an economic-similarity index to group villages into clusters and localise forecasting without requiring a separate model per village; a hybrid forecasting engine combining at least two forecasting techniques, including ARIMA, regression, and recurrent neural-network models, into an error-weighted ensemble forecast per cluster; an adaptive dashboard module rendering forecasts and recommendations in iconographic, regional-language, and voice-output accessibility modes, together with threshold-triggered SMS and voice alerts; and a feedback module capturing outcome data to iteratively retrain the forecasting engine and recompute cluster assignments and ensemble weights. The invention improves forecasting accuracy on sparse, seasonal rural transaction data and improves accessibility for low-literacy rural stakeholders, including Self-Help Group members, farmers, and micro-retailers, thereby supporting economic resilience and smart village development.
