Abstract: A system and method for human-robot collaboration using multimodal interaction and intent recognition is disclosed. The system comprises a robotic machine structure including a multi-axis robotic manipulator, servo-controlled actuation assemblies, and an adaptive end-effector assembly configured for collaborative operation within a shared workspace. A multimodal interaction acquisition unit acquires heterogeneous interaction datasets corresponding to operator movement, spoken instructions, gaze fixation trajectories, posture orientation, physiological interaction parameters, and environmental conditions through distributed sensing devices. A temporal synchronization processor aligns the heterogeneous interaction datasets to generate synchronized multimodal interaction representations, and a semantic feature extraction processor transforms the synchronized multimodal interaction representations into semantic interaction vectors. An intent recognition processor determines operator collaborative intentions and anticipated task objectives using the semantic interaction vectors. A contextual awareness processing unit generates dynamically updated contextual interaction maps according to machine operational conditions, workspace occupancy states, and obstacle distributions.
