MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421088202 A) filed by Qutess Lab Private Limited on November 14, 2024, for System And Method For Generating Polariation-Entangled Photons.
Inventor includes Pravin Vaity.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system for generating polarization-entangled photon pairs with high efficiency and visibility. The system includes a beam generation unit producing a laser beam of predetermined wavelength and polarization, and an entangled state formation unit comprising a polarizing beam splitter, polarization control elements, and a nonlinear crystal. The polarizing beam splitter separates the laser into horizontal and vertical photon and incident on the nonlinear. The oppositely directed beams enter a nonlinear crystal to generate correlated signal and idler photons of a collinear degenerate configuration. The photons are recombined by the polarizing beam splitter to produce polarization-entangled photon pairs represented as |HH? + exp(iF)|VV?. The signal and idler photons of the entangled state are separated by utilizing momentum space and picked by placing D-shaped mirror and a measurement and detection unit verifies the entangled state.
