MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641126074 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Madras Iit Madras on October 22, 2026, for System And Method For Generating Composite Signal From Plurality Of Periodic Or Quasi-Periodic Source Signals.

Inventors include Manivannan Muniyandi; Rohit Krishna Murthy; and Mohan Saravanan.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: A signal processing system and method are disclosed for generating a composite signal from a plurality of periodic or quasi-periodic source signals originating from independent measurement sources. Portions of the source signals associated with recurring events are transformed into a common representation space using a reversible deterministic transform. In certain embodiments, the transform comprises a length-normalization operation that maps source-signal portions having different durations into a common representation space using interpolation, decimation, spectral-domain resampling, spline resampling, or another invertible resampling operation. Representations corresponding to the plurality of source signals are combined, including by linear superposition of corresponding representation elements, to generate a composite representation. An inverse of the reversible deterministic transform is applied to the composite representation to generate a reconstructed composite signal having temporal correspondence with at least one source signal. Recurring events may be identified using deterministic fiducial-point localization. Fig. 2
