Inventors include Nair, Aanalde Vyas; and Roy, Ankita.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method and a system for generating colourways for a textile pattern. Herein, inputs associated with the textile pattern are received, and a plurality of regions of the textile pattern are identified based on characteristics of respective portions of the textile pattern, for determining a plurality of functional colour roles for the identified regions. A colour palette is determined based on a fabric material, wherein the colour palette comprises colours derived from natural dyes compatible with the fabric material. For each functional colour role, one or more colours are determined from the colour palette according to predefined colour combinations associated with the respective functional colour role. The determined colours are applied to corresponding regions to generate colourways while maintaining the underlying pattern structure. The generated colourways may be displayed and modified by replacing colours assigned to the functional colour roles according to the predefined colour combinations. {FIG. 2}
