Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to fraud-resistant decentralized carpooling systems. The system (100) includes a hardware processor (102), a trained ANN model (106), and an IoT sensing device (104) physically installed within a vehicle. The IoT sensing device (104) detects physical ride events, including ride start, route progression, and ride completion events, generating corresponding ride event signals. The hardware processor (102) authenticates each ride event signal by verifying its origin from the registered IoT sensing device (104). The trained ANN model (106) analyses authenticated signals to determine a fraud score. Upon receipt of an authenticated ride completion event signal satisfying a predefined fraud condition, a smart contract (108) deployed on a distributed blockchain ledger (110) enforces a carpooling agreement and distributes cost-sharing amounts among participating users. The transaction data, including fraud scores and hardware-originated evidence records, are permanently recorded on the blockchain ledger (110), linking payments to verified physical ride events.
