Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an FPGA-based smart vending machine system configured to provide offline customer loyalty management and randomized discount generation. The system integrates vending control, transaction processing, reward allocation, and promotional discount functions within programmable FPGA hardware, thereby eliminating dependence on internet connectivity, cloud servers, external databases, and smartphone applications. Upon successful completion of a purchase, the system locally assigns loyalty points and selectively generates surprise discounts or promotional rewards based on predefined hardware-implemented logic. The invention enables real-time processing with reduced latency, enhanced reliability, and improved transaction security through localized execution of all operational functions. The FPGA architecture further allows customizable reward policies and scalable vending functionalities through reconfigurable digital circuitry. The invention enhances customer engagement, encourages repeat purchases, and provides a low-cost, energy-efficient, and network- independent smart vending solution suitable for deployment in diverse environments including remote and low-connectivity locations.
