The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: The present invention provides a power-efficient smart spectacle system to assist users, particularly elderly individuals, in locating misplaced reading spectacles indoors. The spectacle comprises a fold-detection sensor located at the frame hinge, a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module and a USB charging port to power the rechargeable battery, embedded in the temple arm. When the spectacles are folded, the hinge sensor activates the BLE module, enabling the spectacles to be detected by a mobile phone application. A manual switch-off feature allows the user to disable the BLE module when desired, at which point the mobile application automatically stores the last detected location. This enables the user to retain a reliable reference point for retrieval, even when the device is off
