MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511013636 A) filed by Cyran Ai Solutions Private Limited on February 18, 2025, for System And Method For Fixing Elevation Gaps In Digital Surface Maps.

Inventors include Suri, Manan; Parmar, Vivek; and Negi, Shubham.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for fixing elevation gaps in digital surface maps. The system (100) is configured to: receive elevation raster data and colour raster data; generate tiles from the elevation raster data; detect edges in the elevation data to identify areas with significant height changes; and generate additional points in these areas. The system (100) further process the colour raster data through orthorectification, cloud masking, and enhancement. The processed colour data is then used to colorize the elevation point cloud. The resulting dense coloured point cloud, with holes filled in areas of sudden height changes, is stored in a cloud-optimized format. The system (100) also includes a web-based interface (122) for users to specify regions of interest and visualize the generated point clouds overlaid on a basemap. (Fig .1)
