MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611087083 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering And Technology Niet on July 16, 2026, for System And Method For Feedback-Driven Adaptive Hybrid Compression In Wideband Near-Field Massive Antenna Communication.

Inventors include Jaya Nidhi Vashishtha; and Dr. Karan Singh.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a system (100) and method for adaptive hybrid compression channel estimation in wideband near-field extremely large-scale MIMO antenna arrays. The system (100) comprises a massive antenna array module (110), an adaptive analog combining network (120) with a controllable phase shifter bank (122) and independently activatable radio-frequency chains (126), a compressed covariance estimation engine (140), a Fresnel-aware channel parameter estimator (150) minimizing a wideband cross-subcarrier Kullback-Leibler divergence objective, a compression feedback controller (160) that evaluates estimation quality against the Cramer-Rao bound and generates Fisher information-maximizing combiner updates through gradient projection on the constant-modulus manifold, dynamically adapts the compression ratio, and optimizes subcarrier selection for Fresnel curvature diversity, and a performance bound analyzer (170). The technical effect is near-optimal estimation accuracy with adaptive power consumption.
