The method performed at server comprises predicting an interest of a plurality of users associated with a plurality of broadcast-enabled end devices, on streaming media content based on a media content usage history of the each user and/or a geographic location of the end device and transmitting the streaming media content to the plurality of end devices based on the 10 interest. The method performed at end device comprises predicting an interest of the user on the streaming media content and receiving the streaming media content from the server. Further, the method comprises streaming media content, in local storage based on the interest of the user and retrieves the same from the local storage for playing on a media player receiving a media content access request from the user.
