Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system (106) and a method (500) for estimation of carbon footprints from production of vehicle components. The system (106) receives data associated with a vehicle (102) from a first source. The system (106) extracts the data to generate information associated with one or more components of the vehicle (102). The system (106) receives metadata from a second source to determine one or more materials and one or more manufacturing processes associated with the one or more components of the vehicle (102). The system (106) combines, using a mapping technique, the metadata and the information to determine one or more carbon footprints generated from the one or more components of the vehicle (102).
