MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641108527 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on September 10, 2026, for System And Method For Entropy-Driven Dynamic Workload Orchestration In Hybrid Quantum- Classical Meteorological Forecasting.
Inventors include Dr. Harshita Patel; Kushagra Mukhija; and Vedansh.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: A hybrid quantum-classical computing system (100) for meteorological forecasting includes at least one classical processor (104), a quantum processor (108), quantum control electronics (106), and one or more sensors (102) providing localized atmospheric data. The classical processor (104) processes the localized atmospheric data using a feedforward neural network and determines an atmospheric complexity score. Based on comparison of the atmospheric complexity score with a predefined threshold, the classical processor (104) routes the atmospheric data to classical processing or activates quantum processing. The classical processor (104) further translates the atmospheric complexity score into a hardware control parameter corresponding to a physical gate depth of a parameterized quantum circuit, determines the physical gate depth, generates a corresponding hardware-level microwave pulse instruction, and provides the instruction to the quantum control electronics (106) to cause the quantum processor (108) to execute the quantum circuit at the determined physical gate depth.
