Abstract: This invention presents a comprehensive system for generating, transmitting, receiving, and analyzing low-frequency vibrations, offering innovative solutions for seismic communication research, wildlife monitoring, and human-elephant conflict mitigation. The system simulates natural elephant infrasonic calls and analyzes their propagation to assess environmental impact and behavioral responses. The experimental setup consists of two key components: Signal Generation & Transmission and Signal Reception & Analysis. The transmission side utilizes sine wave generators, amplifiers, and a high-decibel rotary subwoofer with a paraboloidal reflector to emit controlled low-frequency signals below 20 Hz. These signals are designed to mimic elephant warning calls, producing both air and ground vibrations for long- distance propagation. On the receiver side, a high-sensitivity geophone, strategically mounted on a paraboloidal reflector, detects weak seismic signals. The captured signals undergo pre-filtering, amplification, and digitization using an ESP32 microcontroller. The system extracts critical parameters such as amplitude and frequency, which are then visualized and analyzed using LabVIEW for insights into signal decay and waveform characteristics. Applications of this system include deterring elephants from human settlements through artificial warning signals, studying seismic communication patterns in wildlife, and enhancing wildlife tracking. Field deployment features such as solar power, low-energy microcontrollers, and wireless communication technologies enable efficient operation in remote environments. This scalable solution fosters wildlife conservation while mitigating human-elephant conflicts.
