MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611053956 A) filed by Badri Dipika; and Suresh Babu Suram on April 28, 2026, for System And Method For Efficient Visual Scene Transmission Using Scene-State Descriptors.
Inventors include Badri Dipika; and Suresh Babu Suram.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: A system and method for the representation, transmission, and reconstruction of visual scene information are disclosed. A sensing platform captures visual information and generates compact scene-state descriptors (SSD) encoding structural, spatial, motion, semantic, and uncertainty properties of the scene independently of pixel-based image frames. The descriptors are transmitted through a communication channel to a receiving system. The receiving system maintains an internal scene model and generates predicted scene representations between successive descriptor updates using temporal information and prediction models. Upon receiving new descriptors, the system compares predicted and actual states and applies corrections to maintain bounded reconstruction error. The architecture significantly reduces bandwidth by transmitting only essential scene-state information, enables continuous visualization through predictive modeling, decouples transmission rate from visualization rate, and ensures robust operation under constrained or intermittent network conditions.
