MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611078308 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Kanpur Gf on June 25, 2026, for System And Method For Dysgraphia Risk Detection Using Statistical Measure Computation From Handwritten Input Data.

Inventors include Braj Bhushan; Harsh Dixit; and Ashutosh Bhushan.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a machine learning-based (ML-based) system and a method for dysgraphia risk detection using feature extraction and statistical measure computation from handwritten input data. The ML-based system (102) obtains the handwritten input data from user devices (116) through a data obtaining subsystem (206), preprocesses the handwritten input data through a data preprocessing subsystem (208), and segments individual letters through a letter segmentation subsystem (210). A feature extraction subsystem (212) extracts handwriting features using feature extraction procedures. A letter clustering subsystem (214) clusters similar letters based on feature similarity using a machine learning model. A statistics computation subsystem (216) computes statistical measures associated with clusters using descriptive statistical analysis methods. A dysgraphia risk detection subsystem (218) detects dysgraphia risk based on analysis of handwriting variability indicators derived from the handwriting features and the statistical measures. FIG. 2
