MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641079950 A) filed by Sona College Of Technology on June 29, 2026, for System And Method For Dynamic Edge-Based Healthcare Device Integration And Analytics.
Inventors include Senthilkumar J; Selvaraj Kesavan K; Mohanraj V; and Suresh Y.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT A healthcare monitoring system (100) and method are disclosed. The system comprises a plurality of healthcare devices and sensors (110), an edge gateway hub (200), a service registry (231), a gateway orchestration engine (240), a hardware abstraction layer (220), and an edge AI data analyzer (250). The gateway orchestration engine (240) is configured to automatically detect healthcare devices, identify corresponding executable services from the service registry (231), dynamically instantiate the executable services, and generate runtime data processing workflows without interrupting ongoing operations. Healthcare data received from heterogeneous devices is processed through the generated workflows and analyzed by the edge AI data analyzer (250). The hardware abstraction layer (220) enables execution of computational workloads across heterogeneous hardware acceleration resources. The system supports protocol-independent device integration, local alert generation, autonomous operation during network interruptions, and synchronization with remote platforms upon restoration of connectivity. The invention enables scalable, interoperable, and low- latency healthcare monitoring through dynamic device orchestration and edge-based analytics.
