Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for distributed commerce information management comprising a plurality of physically distributed commerce computing apparatuses, each having a processor unit, memory unit, non-volatile commerce information storage unit, communication interface unit, transaction input unit, display unit, security unit and synchronization unit. The system receives commerce information from heterogeneous commerce sources and generates structured commerce records comprising a source node identifier, commerce entity identifier, transaction identifier, event identifier, event timestamp, source-specific sequence value, preceding state identifier and current state identifier. A distributed state management unit maintains current commerce states and historical state transition records, while a persistent synchronization queue stores locally generated records for transmission between distributed commerce computing apparatuses. A record verification unit identifies duplicate, missing and out-of-sequence records, and a conflict detection unit identifies incompatible state transitions associated with a common commerce entity.
