Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system (100) and a method (1000) for dispatching technicians to multiple base stations for service recovery in a network, the system (100) includes a computing device (108) associated with one or more technicians and a network management component (104) operatively coupled to one or more base stations (102) and the computing device (108). The network management component (104) having an operations support system (OSS) unit (106) configured to manage outages of base stations (102) of equal or of different weight experiencing the outages at different times to assign which technician has to recover which base station (102). The cost of outages is calculated under different recovery strategies. The total cost of outages for each strategy is compared to determine the strategy with least cost of outages. Timestamps related to different activities of the technician on-site are reported to the network management component (104).
