Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system (102) and a method for detecting target user device to provide enhanced safety in autonomous vehicle (100). System (102) comprises image capturing unit (110) to capture images of one or more user devices (112) associated with user. System (102) comprises controller (104) to enable gaze detection to localize one or more user devices (112) based on the one or more images and an activation of an autopilot mode in an autonomous vehicle (100) by user. Controller (104) generates at least one Take Over Action (TOA) notification when the autopilot mode is active. Controller (104) detects the target user device (112-1) associated with user based on the gaze detection. Controller (104) dynamically transmits the at least one TOA notification to the target user device (112-1) associated with user by using one or more adaptable channels to provide enhanced safety in the autonomous vehicle (100).
