MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641114057 A) filed by Prof Chilumuri Srinivasa Rao on September 23, 2026, for System And Method For Detecting Coached Payment Authorisation.
Inventor includes Prof Chilumuri Srinivasa Rao.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION System and method for detecting coached payment authorisation. The invention provides an on-device interlock that operates at the instant a payer authorises a digital payment, including a Unified Payments Interface (UPI) debit. Concurrently with the authorisation user interface, the system senses whether a voice or video session or a remote-control overlay is active, extracts local behavioural and near-field acoustic features without sending raw audio off the device, and combines those features with payee-novelty and amount-deviation signals and, optionally, an external beneficiary risk class. A fusion engine computes a coached-authorisation likelihood and maps it to a graduated action comprising immediate allowance, delayed credit with an explainable vernacular risk card, trusted- contact confirmation, or blocking of the debit together with a kill-switch path. The arrangement addresses authorised push-payment fraud in which the victim willingly enters a PIN while being instructed on a live call.
