Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to a system (102) and a method (200) for detecting and governing deceptive design patterns in digital interfaces. The system (102) receives interface data from user interface, extracts interface features from the interface data, identifies deceptive elements within the interface features using an Artificial Intelligence (AI) model and classifies the identified elements into deceptive design pattern categories. Further, the system (102) assigns a deception-severity score to the deceptive elements, maps the deceptive elements and the corresponding deception-severity score to corresponding regulatory standards and generates a compliance output including the deceptive design pattern categories, the deception-severity score, the regulatory standards, and recommendations for interface remediation. The system (102) further employs a multimodal fusion tensor (138) and a governance-mapping engine (142) with a compliance knowledge graph (144) to quantify, and remediate deceptive design patterns in real-time across regulatory jurisdictions.
