MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541008441 A) filed by Ather Energy Limited on January 31, 2025, for System And Method For Detecting An Anomaly In Components Of A Two-Wheeler Vehicle.

Inventors include Prakash, Pronnoy; Ml, Adarsh; Aravazhi, Mugilan; and Rangarajan, Narayan.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: A method (500) for detecting anomaly in one or more components installed in a two-wheeler vehicle is disclosed herein. The method (500) includes receiving (502) vibrational signals captured via one or more contact microphones. Herein, the vibrational signals correspond to a vibrating frequency for each of the one or more components. Further, the method (500) includes preprocessing (504) the vibrational signals based on isolating frequency bands using digital filtering to reduce noise in the vibrational signals. Furthermore, the method includes extracting (506) diagnostic features from the preprocessed vibrational signals. Herein, the diagnostic features indicate time-domain features and frequency-domain features. Furthermore, the method (500) includes determining (508) a deviation of the diagnostic features from a predefined baseline vibrational profile based on comparison using an anomaly detection Machine Learning (ML) model. Moreover, the method (500) includes detecting (510) the anomaly in the one or more components using the anomaly detection ML model.
