Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system (100) and method (200) for database schema comparison automate the identification and analysis of discrepancies between source and target database schemas. The system (100) comprises a user device (102) configured to receive database schema connections, and a comparison engine (104) communicatively coupled via a network (106). The comparison engine (104) includes a processor (114) with engines: a receiving engine (118) for schema connections, a first exclusion engine (120) for excluding columns, a second exclusion engine (122) for excluding tables based on user-defined criteria, a rule engine (124) for applying exclusion rules and manual column mappings, and a correlation engine (126) for comparing database objects based on critical attributes such as datatype, size, and constraints. A reporting engine (128) generates detailed comparison reports. The system (100) reduces manual intervention, enhances accuracy, and provides filter options for refining results.
