Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF ELECTRIC MOTOR 5 10 15 20 The present disclosure provides a system (102) for controlling operation of an electric motor powered by one or more photovoltaic sources. The system (102) comprises a receiving module (210), an optimization module (212), a generation module (214), a monitoring module (216) and a controlling module (218). The receiving module (210) receives a direct current power from the photovoltaic sources, and the optimization module (212) performs an adaptive Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) using a perturb-and observe tracking and incremental conductance tracking. The generation module (214) generates pulse-width modulation gate signals for controlling an inverter to drive the electric motor. The monitoring module (216) detects a dry-run condition based on operating parameters, while the controlling module (218) manages energy buffering and protective inverter operation under varying solar energy conditions.
