Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards a system and method for controlling data transmission to large language models. A first computing device redirects an outbound encrypted connection to a local processing path, extracts Server Name Indication information, recovers an original destination, and compares the Server Name Indication information with verified domain-registry information. Non-matching traffic is relayed to the original destination without decrypting application data, while matching traffic is selectively processed to inspect an application-layer request and generate classification information. A cloud server processes the classification information and associated classification evidence to determine a confidentiality classification and generate a policy decision based on applicable policy information. The policy decision comprises an ALLOW, BLOCK, or PENDING decision. The first computing device processes the application- layer request according to the policy decision, thereby selectively controlling transmission of information to a corresponding large language model.
