Abstract: A cognitive load-aware distributed task scheduling system is disclosed for optimizing computational resource allocation based on user cognitive engagement. The system passively collects user interaction telemetry including keyboard activity, mouse movements, application switching behavior, and idle duration to generate a Cognitive Load Score without requiring physiological sensors or biometric devices. Computational tasks are assigned disruption scores based on user-interface interference, notification potential, processor utilization, memory consumption, and resource requirements, wherein human-perceptual disruption factors are weighted more heavily than hardware-related factors. A scheduling engine correlates the Cognitive Load Score with task disruption classifications and routes, defers, throttles, or migrates tasks across distributed execution nodes using a predefined routing matrix. The system further issues hardware-level processor frequency control commands in response to cognitive-state changes, predicts impending cognitive threshold breaches for pre-emptive task migration, protects sustained focus periods by restricting disruptive workloads, and adaptively personalizes scheduling policies through feedback-driven learning mechanisms.
