Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose a system (100) and method (400) facilitating chroma key filtering in an input data stream. The method (400) comprises detecting a background color in the input data stream based on a pixel sampling of the input data stream to identify two or more regions in the input data stream, identifying pixels in the input data stream that matches with the detected background color using a half match detection process to identify a first region and a second region from the two or more regions and detecting a third region from the two or more regions using an outer layer detection process to separate the first region and the second region in the input data stream. The method (400) further comprises removing the separated first region from the input data stream based on the detected third region to generate a processed frame of the input data stream.
