MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641050098 A) filed by Hindusthan College Of Engineering And Technology on April 20, 2026, for System And Method For Channel Prediction In Mimo-Ofdm Wireless Communication Using A Hybrid Cnn Lstm Model.

Inventor includes Hindusthan College Of Engineering And Technology.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to the system and method for a predictive channel estimation in multiple-input multiple-output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) wireless communication systems, using an artificial intelligence driven hybrid convolutional neural network and long short-term memory (CNN-LSTM) architecture. The invention receives channel frequency response m~trices, performs preprocessing by converting complex-valued channel information into a structured real and imaginary representations and generates channel state predictions. The proposed system is a local spatial-frequency features, using convolutional layers and channel evolution using LS TM layers, enables accurate prediction of time-varying wireless channels. The invention is applicable to stanpardized propagation environments including urban macro-cell, urban micro-cell and rural macro-cell scenarios and can operate with delay line channel models. The predicted channel information may be used in adaptive modulation, equalization, beamforming, precoding, scheduling, handover support and link adaptation in fifth-generation, sixth-generation and beyond wireless networks. ~ The invention supports training and deployment under multiple antenna configurations, signal-to- noise ratio conditions, user mobility levels and prediction while maintaining computational efficiency for real-time operation.
