MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611087037 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering And Technology Niet on July 16, 2026, for System And Method For Certified Program Optimization Using Staged Fold Analysis Over Equivalence Graphs.
Inventors include Ms. Vaishali Mishra; and Dr. Rashmi Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: A proof-carrying compiler optimization system (100) and method are disclosed. A front-end interface module (110) normalizes domain-specific language programs into typed terms, an equivalence graph construction engine (120) encodes them as e-classes and e-nodes, and a declarative rewrite engine (130) saturates the graph using versioned rule packages from an optimization library repository (180). A catamorphic analysis engine (140), staged by a dependency-aware scheduler (150), computes generalized fold analyses wherein a readiness tracking unit (146) matches a node completion counter against a precomputed node total so that each e-class is finalized exactly once, eliminating re-propagation. A proof generation module (160) records machine-checkable certificates for every rewrite and analysis value, a proof verification module (170) independently validates them, and a term extraction module (190) and code generation module (200) emit certified optimized code, ensuring trustworthy compilation for safety-critical applications.
